Location, Location, Location...

Sound Sound offers several location recording packages to serve a variety of needs and budgets including Direct-to-Stereo, 16-channel-to-stereo, 16-track analog, and digital stereo field recording. We also offer our services on a per-project basis. Combined with our duplication and packaging services, we can take your project from recording to finished product. Whether it's a concert, recital, nature/sound effects recording, location sound for film/video, or any other project where you need to record sound away from the studio, Sound Sound can provide the expertise and equipment you need.
Our engineers have had many years of combined experience in the arts and sciences of music, studio and location recording, live sound, and audio consulting. We can help with all phases of your project, from the initial planning to the final product.

Package #1

Includes:

CD master, 1 1/2 hrs. set up/removal & 2 hrs. recording time.

Package #2

Includes:

Up to 16 channels of mic/line inputs with individual EQ, up to 6 effects including reverb, digital delay, compression, parametric EQ, etc., CD Master, 2 1/2 hrs. set up/removal & 2 hrs. recording time.

Package #3

Includes:

16 tracks of live recording on 1" 24-track with dbx (allowing 8 tracks of overdubs at a later time), up to 16 channels of mic/line inputs with individual EQ, up to 6 effects including reverb, digital delay, compression, parametric EQ, etc., (2) reels of analog multi-track master tape, (1) stereo cassette dub, 3 hrs. set up/removal & 4 hrs. recording time. Overdubs, mixdown and stereo master available for additional fee.

Package #4

Includes:

(2) B&K 4006/4011 microphones, Sony TCD D10 PRO DAT recorder or Powerbook G4. Price is portal-to-portal.

 

Note: All additional time will be billed in 1/4 hour increments. Additional setup and removal time will be billed at regular recording rate. Additional recording time will be billed at the following rates:

Packages 1-3 include transport time and charges. All other location services are billed portal-to-portal.
